You have to pay a few bucks more for your car in BC, Manitoba, New Brunswick, and Ontario because of their front license plate requirements. Hah!

Front license plates? No thank you.

I agree. I’m glad I’m in a place where they aren’t needed. They just make some cars look like they have buck teeth.

My state requires them, don't have one cause I couldn't imagine drilling into my bumper

I like them, but then again, I like license plates more than I like cars.

Go to Cook County, Illinois. You get to pay a premium on your tags just for the privilege of being near Chicago.
Crustys “truck tax” was almost $200.

Front plate or not, you still pay $20 it looks like...

But BC has no road tax. Renewing your stickers is freeeee

True, but you don’t HAVE to select the option if you live in a no front plate required province. So it’s an optional 20 dollars.

Yeah, but that also means I get the benefit of not living in Alberta.

True.
At least we have some mountains!
At least!

Interesting. Would they make you pick one anyway when ordering the car? (I’m guessing that’s from GM’s configurator, and they would do that hehe)

Not from what I saw on the configurator.

It’s been a bit since I fired up a configuration, but I always remember it being a no-cost option if it’s required, but you pay if you select it and it’s not required in your jurisdiction.
At any rate, our insurance in ‘Toba is less so I win anyway.

Yup - you only need one plate on the rear here in Nova Scotia!
